“IRIDESCENTE”

Four years after their previous studio record "Chocolate", Maria João & Mário Laginha make a comeback with a new work. It all started, the duo confesses, with an invitation from the Gulbenkian Foundation to be part of the foundation's "World Music" programme: "the idea came to us, of making new music and to combine instruments that we enjoy in an unusual ensemble: voice, piano, accordion, harp and percussion.
The musicians we invited are part of our extended musical family and are, in our opinion, extraordinary. Together with their talent and afection they helped us building "IRIDESCENTE".
